As the only cast member of The Four Seasons with a shot at an Emmy, Colman Domingo is celebrating his nomination as a win for everyone involved in the show.

For his portrayal of Danny, he was nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category at the 2025 Emmy Awards.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Domingo explained what drew him to the role.

I knew it was time to have a little fun and flex my comedy muscles,” Domingo said. “Who knew it would be with the heavyweights such as Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Will Forte, and Marco Calvani?”

“This nomination is for all of us, because every comedian can tell you, you can’t be funny alone,” he continued. “You need some wonderful people to play off of. And I am tremendously blessed.”

Domingo also shared how much he’s looking forward to filming the new season.

Four Seasons is a cozy gift of comedy that we all knew we needed, and audiences around the world have been showing such love,” he added.

Domingo is no stranger to the Emmys. In 2022, he won the  Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for playing Ali Muhammed on Euphoria.

“A lot of kindness brought me to this stage. People who love me, people who lift me up, thank you to all of those people. Everyone who says yes to me,” he said in his acceptance speech at the time.

He also showed some love to his “darling” husband, Raúl, saying, “I cannot forget him. This is for you, Raúl.”
