Eric Dane opens up for the first time since being diagnosed with ALS.

In an interview with Diane Sawyer for Good Morning America, the actor discussed his condition. “I wake up every day and I’m immediately reminded that this is happening,” he said while fighting back tears.

He went on to say, “I don’t think this is the end of my story. I don’t feel like this is the end of me.” The clip ended with Sawyer asking the Euphoria star who was the first person he called after receiving the news about his ALS.

Two months ago, we reported that Dane publicly revealed that he was diagnosed with ALS. “I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this chapter.” He continued, “I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”

Before his diagnosis was made public, Dane’s wife, Rebecca Gayheart, withdrew her request for a divorce, which she filed back in 2018. They got married in October 2004 and have two children together.

We are still keeping Eric Dane in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
