Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at 76 years old.
According to reports, the legendary rock singer died on Tuesday surrounded by loved ones. In a statement released by his family read, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.”
It continued, “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” Osbourne was the lead singer of the rock band Black Sabbath, which was founded in Birmingham, England, in 1968.
Osbourne passed away just weeks after he performed for the last time with his rock band, Black Sabbath. Throughout the group’s career, they have received two Grammy Awards and were inducted into the 2006 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In 1979, the lead singer was kicked out of the group due to his alcohol and drug addiction, something that he struggled with for years. As a solo artist, Osbourne has had a successful career. He released 13 studio albums, with eight of them going platinum in the United States. He has also won five Grammys. Ozzy Osbourne was married to Sharon Osbourne and they share three children, Jack, Aimee, and Kelly Osbourne.
Ozzy Osbourne’s cause of death has not been revealed, and he is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
