Over the weekend, the world was shocked to learn of the passing of Regina King’s son, Ian Alexander Jr.
Ian’s death was confirmed by King in a statement that was released by People on Friday. “Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian,” the statement said. “He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you.”
Ian, who is King’s only son, has just celebrated his 26th birthday had reportedly died by suicide.
